Simpatico
The artist which inspired me to create an Abstract painting is Thaneeya McArdle, she really inspires me because she is different from the rest of painters because her works of art are based upon the spiritual, natural and material parts of the world and through her paintings and different colors and shapes she expresses that feelings. The painting that I chose to make was Simpatico; because it was inspired on Thaneeya's interest in folk art especially tribal India. This painting has lots of colors and shapes that I really like and that in some way are similar to the Aztec patters that I love, so I chose this painting because I really like it and it is very different from other Abstract paintings I found.
WHAT AREAS WILL BE PAINTED FIRST?
The areas that I will paint first will be the ones which have darker colors such as the dark red and blue because that way when I use the lighter colors they won't mess up the darker colors painting because it doesn't seem such a difference if I paint wrong in a place or so.

PAINT THE AREAS SEPARATELY OR NOT?
I will paint each area separately, meaning that first of all I will be painting the darker parts of the painting and the background and wait for those parts to get dry. Once those parts get dry I will start painting with the lighter colors and drawing the smaller details in a way that the painting will end up having a better quality than if I paint everything the same day and at some point it could get messed up.

WHAT TEXTURE WILL MY PAINTING HAVE?
The texture that my painting will have is generally smooth when you touch it, most of it would be that way. But in certain details such as the dots and small circles I will try to do a bumpy texture so it will create a different effect on the painting when looking at it and when touching it too.

TECHNIQUES THAT WILL BE USED?
The techniques that I will use are basically the mixture of colors, because this painting doesn't have any ordinary color, it has the opposit; colors such as turqoise, light green, red-orange, etc. Also there will be some shades and tints for the different tones of colors that I will be using for the shadows and lighter parts.

THEORY OF ART
The theory of art that has this painting is Formalism, because Thaneeya uses many shapes in here to create the different patterns and spiritual part that inspires her to paint.

STYLE
Since I am doing the same painting as this one and not chaning or combining it with another painting I will be painting in the Abstract style.
